Matthew G. Anderson steps up to the role of President and CEO of The Osborn today. Mr. Anderson has been with The Osborn for 17 years, assuming roles of increasing responsibility. He was the Senior Vice President of Health Care Services and Administrator of The Osborn Pavilion, its licensed skilled nursing facility which provides short-term and outpatient rehab and long-term skilled nursing care. As Vice President of Health Care Services, he assumed responsibility for Assisted Living at The Osborn, including the award-winning H.O.P.E. Center for Memory Care. Mr. Anderson was named Chief Operating Officer in October 2014 and has been effectively directing the day-to-day operations of The Osborn across the continuum of residential and health care services since then.
Mr. Anderson joined The Osborn in 1998, following several years with Wesley Healthcare Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, where he served as Business Manager and, subsequently, as Director of Business Development. A graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Health Administration, he also holds an M.B.A. from SUNY Albany.
He was a 2008 LeadingAge Leadership Academy Fellow and currently serves on the Academy’s Advisory Committee. He received the Thomas Clarke Award as LeadingAge NY’s Young Administrator of the Year. His expertise has been tapped more than once as a coach for LeadingAge’s 2010 and 2011 Leadership classes.
On the New York State level, he serves on LeadingAge/NY’s Board of Directors. He and other LeadingAge Fellows spearheaded the establishment of LeadingAge/NY’s own Leadership Academy, IGNITE, in 2013 to advance young leaders in the field.
An honorary member of the Rye Rotary where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, Matt is currently a member of Greenwich Hospital’s Community Advisory Committee. He loves baseball and has served on the board of Rye’s Little League, as well as being an active coach. Matt, his wife Christine, and their two sons, Ryan and Aidan live in Rye.
