The Osborn has touched the lives of tens of thousands of residents and their families since its opening in 1908. By contributing to The Osborn Foundation you will be a vital member of the community ensuring a successful future for The Osborn and its residents for the next century.
Please contribute so that we can continue to offer residents and patients the highest level of compassionate, professional care they deserve. And enable us to grow our Charity Care program for the increasing demand as more individuals outlive their resources and want to stay at The Osborn or receive home health care services in their own homes.
What Does Your Contribution Help Fund?
Charity Care
The Charity Care Program continues to support residents and home care clients who outlive their resources. The program is the cornerstone of Miriam Osborn’s initial vision for the community and we are pleased it provides options for residents today.
Employee Enrichment
The Employee Enrichment Program provides recognition for employees’ dedication, hard work and expert care – all of the things that make The Osborn so special. The program also provides opportunities for staff training.
Academic Achievement
The Academic Achievement Program funds awards for children of employees pursuing post-high school education. It was established by The Osborn’s Sterling Park Resident Association and continues to grow each year and now supports more than 40 students annually.
Arboretum Conservation
The Arboretum Conservation Program protects the health of the 1,021 trees on our 56-acre arboretum campus. With 115 species of trees, the arboretum is a treasured resource for residents and the wider community.

Residents, Families and the Community
In addition to making The Osborn the vibrant community that it is, our residents, their families, and the community contribute to ensuring that employees receive the recognition they deserve. Donations also provide awards to employees’ children attending post-secondary school.
Business Partners
Many of The Osborn's business partners believe in our mission enough to support our work through sponsorships, grants and donations. For example, during our fall appeal, vendors provide funding to The Osborn Foundation. These donations can benefit our annual fund or special projects.
Family and Friends
Family and friends are central to the lives of residents at The Osborn. The Foundation provides opportunities to honor and remember a loved one during their lifetime or in memoriam, including planting a tree or having a bench dedicated in their name.
Employees and Trustees
Our employees and Trustees are fully committed to The Osborn’s mission and community. Our staff expresses their commitment by contributing to The Foundation to ensure the longevity of The Osborn. The Osborn also achieves 100% Board participation for annual giving.
