The Osborn hosted an expert panel discussion on surgical and non-surgical treatment options for spinal stenosis in partnership with the Hospital Special Surgery’s (HSS) new Stamford Outpatient Center earlier this month. A video of the panel discussion is available at: http://www.ryetv.org/10092015-666
The panel discussion was titled Living Well with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. Moderated by HSS rheumatologist Dr. C. Ronald MacKenzie, the event features panelists Dr. Andrew Sama, HSS Orthopedic Surgeon, speaking about surgical and non-surgical treatment of spinal stenosis; Dr. Eileen Landin, Director of Rehabilitation at The Osborn, on the benefit of physical therapy; and Dr. Charis Meng, HSS Rheumatologist, who will explain the role of acupuncture.
The topic was inspired by the Wellness Committee, an active group of residents at Sterling Park, the Independent Living community at The Osborn.
