Christa Picciano-Daniello, the Vice President of Sales at The Osborn, has joined the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association, Hudson Valley Chapter. Ms. Daniello will serve on the Development and Marketing Committee.
"We are delighted to have Ms. Daniello join our dedicated Board of Directors," said Elaine Sproat, Chapter President & CEO. "Our board members are among the most passionate advocates for our cause."
Ms. Daniello has been working at The Osborn since 1997. Prior to that, she was Director of Admission at the Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in the Bronx.
“There are many reasons why this new role is so important to me. Families with loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s are among the people I meet every day in my job at The Osborn. I want to see this disease take on a different face – the face of life!” Ms. Daniello’s husband’s grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s and she saw first-hand the devastating effect that the disease has on families.
On October 4, Ms. Daniello led a group of volunteers under the banner "Team Osborn" at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in White Plains, NY. With more than 1,300 participants in total, the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer's in Westchester County raised a record of $347,000 thus far.
The Alzheimer's Association works on a global, national and local level to enhance care and support for all of those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
