The Osborn Foundation is hosting it's sixth "Foundress Award Luncheon" honoring "Women Who Make a Difference" on Wednesday, October 2nd at The Osborn in Rye, New York.
This years honorees are Dawn French, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Community Relations for White Plains Hospital and Jana Seitz, President of the Board of Trustees, Edith Read Wildlife Sanctuary. The Foundress Award is given to women in our community whose professional and personal achievements enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families.
The guest speaker for the event will be Carrie Rebora Barratt, CEO of The New York Botanical Garden. She is the first woman to hold this position since the Botanical Gardens was founded in 1891. Prior to joining the Botanical Garden, Ms. Barratt was with the Metropolitan Museum of Art for 34 years.
Supporting Key Initiatives
Proceeds from the auction and luncheon will go to support The Osborn Charity Care Program which provides care and residency on The Osborn campus for those who outlive their resources. It also supports Osborn Home Care services for residents of The Osborn and seniors at home in both Westchester and Fairfield Counties who cannot afford to pay for care.
The Osborn Foundation's mission is to provide philanthropic support for initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents of The Osborn, clients of Osborn Home Care, and seniors in our communities.
