The Osborn Retirement Community has been awarded its fourth, consecutive, five-year accreditation by CARF International. CARF is widely recognized as the highest standard in senior living excellence. CARF accreditation attests to a community’s resident-centered focus, sound governance and fiscal strength. The Osborn is proud to be one of just over 200 communities in the United States with CARF accreditation.
Organizations can earn CARF accreditation for a one, three or five-year term with five years being the highest level of recognition. The Osborn received its first five-year CARF accreditation in 2002 and has been reaccredited for successive five-year terms.
Osborn President and CEO Matt Anderson said, “We are proud to have again earned CARF’s five-year reaccreditation. It is a major accomplishment for our organization. We are grateful for the roles that the staff, the Board of Trustees, and residents provide.”
Anderson noted that “every five years the staff, Board, and residents jointly participate in the accreditation process. We evaluate all our policies and procedures against the CARF standards. The three day on-site survey involves a review of all these materials and importantly, interviews with all stakeholders including residents from Independent and Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, Trustees, Managers and Staff."
About CARF Reaccreditation
The mission of CARF is to “promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served.” Continuing care communities that achieve CARF’s stringent standards are among the finest in the country.
