Over 200 people gathered at The Osborn on Tuesday, September 26 for a luncheon to present three women with the Miriam A. Osborn Foundress Award for their work in wellness and conservation.
The honorees were selected based on their professional and volunteer work in the areas of wellness and nature conservancy. Hilary Forman, Senior VP at HealthPRO-Heritage, Dr. Catherine Isaacs from Scarsdale Medical
Group’s Mind-Body Medicine Department, and Angel Morris, past President of the Rye Garden Club, the Rye Nature Center, and The Osborn Board of Managers.
Author Florence Williams
The guest speaker was Florence Williams, author of The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative, whose book explores the impact of spending time in nature on health and well-being through scientific case studies across different cultures.
There was a silent auction featuring trips, packages and items donated by local businesses who are listed the Event Journal.
