Dear Friends,
When I took the helm as CEO, The Osborn was a well-established leader in our field. In fact, it has been a community of choice for seniors for more than a century.
The approach to senior living is evolving, because people in their 60s and 70s anticipate many good years ahead. Today’s retirees are exchanging their professional workday routines for new and engaging pursuits. Some remain in their homes, while others seek liberation from maintaining a house and a yard.
For those who wish to age in their own homes, Osborn Home Care brings professionally trained caregivers directly to them, in Westchester and Fairfield counties. Those looking for a more carefree, yet still independent lifestyle might choose a garden home or apartment on our campus in Rye, NY.
All our residents can participate in an array of activities, from walking the paths on our park-like 56-acres, to making pottery, painting or joining a club. Our signature WellSpring program offers many ways to stay physically, mentally and emotionally fit.
As years pass, residents who need help with daily tasks can transition to an Assisted Living apartment on our spacious campus. If those needs expand to specialized nursing or memory care, The Osborn provides full health services, in comfortable living accommodations.
Since The Osborn offers a complete spectrum of residential and healthcare choices, residents can remain in The Osborn community, whatever their degree of need. When a resident does move to another level of care, we help the family understand all the options, and guide them through the process.
As a not-for-profit organization, The Osborn enjoys financial stability, and we were recently upgraded to an A rating from Fitch. Our campus occupancy rates are significantly above industry averages, across all levels of care.
Our exemplary response to customer demand has earned The Osborn its fifth consecutive, 5-year accreditation by CARF International. This accreditation is the highest standard for senior living excellence. Our skilled nursing facility, The Pasciuti Pavilion, continually receives high ratings from CMS, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It also was named a Best Nursing Home (for both short-term rehab and long-term care) by U.S. News & World Report for 2024.
None of this would be possible without our compassionate staff, generous donors, strong managers, and a dedicated Board of Trustees.
It is my privilege to lead this extraordinary community.
Sincerely,
Matthew G. Anderson
President and Chief Executive Officer
