Arbor Day at The Osborn
The Osborn held a tree planting ceremony in honor of Arbor Day last Friday, April 28th, adding a Bald Cypress tree to our nationally recognized 56-acre arboretum campus.
Bald Cypress, Taxodium distichum, is a deciduous conifer in the family Cupressaceae. The native range extends from southeastern New Jersey south to Florida and west to Central Texas and southeastern Oklahoma, and also inland up the Mississippi River.
