It’s time to put down your electronic device. We have all heard people say we need more time with each other and less time on our devices, but now there are actually studies to prove it. There are now cafes in both Toronto and New York that are declining Wi-Fi to their customers in order to create a more social atmosphere. Most importantly, the lack of social interaction can cause a host of health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, autoimmune disorders and cancer just to name a few. As NYT Jane E. Brody shares in “Social Interaction Is Critical for Mental and Physical Health” not only our physical health suffers.
