The Osborn’s Charitable Mission

Consistent with the spirit of Miriam Osborn’s will, it is the intent of The Osborn to serve both those who are financially independent and those who need financial support. Financial assistance will be provided to needy residents consistent with the prudent long-term use of resources of the Miriam Osborn Memorial Home Association.

These words are from The Osborn’s mission statement, a document seen every day by our residents and employees, which expresses our commitment to fulfilling the charitable mission of our founder, Miriam Osborn, "for the elderly to live in gracious circumstances, without concern about their future."

We are also proud to be able to help those individuals in the community requiring home health care support whose financial need qualifies them for our charity home care program. Through Osborn Home Care, The Osborn’s New York state-licensed home health care agency, we offer charitable home care to people who live in Rye and the surrounding communities in Westchester.

Eligibility for charitable care from Osborn Home Care is based on a prospective beneficiary’s demonstrated need and the availability of financial support from The Osborn’s endowment fund.
